“ONE VOICE” NAMED #1 HOT SHOT DEBUT ON BILLBOARD:

GLADYS KNIGHT’S LATEST CD BUMPS OTHERS ON GOSPEL CHARTS WITH PHENOMENAL FIRST-WEEK SUCCESS

Salt Lake City Soaring to immediate success in one week, Gladys Knight and the Saints Unified Voices snagged the title of Billboard’s #1 Hot Shot Debut with their first album, “One Voice.” The album landed at #9 on Billboard’s Gospel charts and is still climbing, while it simultaneously shot to the #1 Gospel Album and #2 Inspirational Album on iTunes.

Kicking off the week with appearances on Good Morning America, Fox & Friends, BET, and a satellite tour for the late Ray Charles, Knight also pulled in record numbers at a J&R Records signing in New York City. More than 500 fans packed the store, while another 300 waited outside despite freezing temperatures. “One Voice” sold out within the first hour.

The Saints Unified Voices is a matchless gospel choir consisting of more than 100 members from several cultural backgrounds whose mission is to build faith while breaking down cultural barriers. From the energetic, gospel classic “Pass Me Not,” to the moving duet, “Did You Know,” with John Fluker, “One Voice” offers uplifting and inspirational musical insight.

Knight, the creator and director of the Saints Unified Voices, was also recently nominated for yet another Grammy for her duet with Ray Charles, “Heaven Help Us All.”
